A little of this and a little of that...

Harriet Burry has been exiled. I had to put her aside, or else risk going crazy. The windows are all satin stitched, which I've decided against doing. When I started in on doing crosses, I realized that the spacing wasn't equal for the panes. Long story short, we needed to part company for awhile. I went back to the A&E, and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel at last.

I'm still taking my time with the over one verse.
I just love red! All samplers should have some.
Blyler House finally made it's way in to a frame this week. I've started a new sampler wall in my craft room. I tried to take a picture, but the lighting was awful. I'll try another day.

Black Friday found me decorating the house for Christmas. I love making the simplest things look festive. The tree in my bedroom will eventually have more tiny samplers. For now, there's just a few, but it's a start. I stitched these a couple of years ago and never got around to the finishing. I don't like that part, at all.
As if I don't have enough to do, I joined my first SAL with these gals. I have wanted to stitch the Prairie Schooler alphabet as one piece for years. Vonna started this project going, and I'm really excited to be participating. Mine will be over one on 30ct. linen.

What a great Christmas idea! Mini samplers on a bitty tree--something I want to copy now! The A&E looks great and I tackle over-one lettering the way you do--in little bites. I love Blyler House--don't think I've seen it anywhere else. I'm off to research it. As always, you're an inspiration!

Who knew that A&E could be so gorgeous. I love your conversion. Blyler House and your little tree are so pretty too.

Poor Hannah, being in time out is not fun ;-).

And by my count you have three projects going which means I've officially corrupted you, LOL.

Hi Tanya,
Oh your A&E is beautiful. You definiately will be doing the happy dance really soon.
What a bummer with Harriet. Just a thought if you didn't want to do satin stitch in the windows would it work out if you did the frame in over 2 and all the different panes in either over 1 in cross stitch or half cross stitch. I know it is 40ct but it could work. Especially if you had a couple of panes for each window. I will take my chart with me when I go to bed in a minute and see if it will work.
I love your feather tree and what a great idea with tiny samplers. Looks great. Your are such an inspirational stitcher. I always enjoy my visits to your blog. - Sandra.

Hi Tanya,

I agree with your "red" statement! It's the best color ever!
Hey, I noticed on the ABC blog, that you had posted a picture of your 30 count fabric. Do you know what kind of linen it is? I can see the holes on it! I'm trying to find something I can stitch over one, that won't give me stress!
I'm so glad to find your lovely blog. What wonderful things you have on here.
Thanks so much!

I came here via your entry at the Prairie Schooler SAL blog to tell you how gorgeous I think your PS piece is looking. But then I came here and saw all your beautiful samplers and... well. Just wow!

Your A&E is really coming along. I like the little couple under (is it a tree or an umbrella of some sort?). It's very pretty. Over one on 40 makes me nuts; it's why my One Seed has no progress on it.

Oh no! Who would've thought Harriet would be such a problem child. I would not want to do all of the satin stitches either. It's a beautiful sampler, though, and the wall with a gate is very cool.

Your Christmas tree is very cute!
