Here's my set for Christmas. Email me if you're interested.
I'm about to give up on photographing Miss Burry. The one above was taken inside under my Daylight. I had to hang it up with clothespins on poster board to get it all in. The bottom two were taken outside and the fabric looks all washed out. As you can see, I'm working on the big yellow brick house. It has fourteen windows and a door that are all done in satin stitch. I'll be there while. Finally, a color change of blue with the door. How much green can a person stand? This has to be the worst charted reproduction EVER. There are tons of mistakes on the graph. Originally, I thought it was the way the antique was stitched, but after constant comparison, it's the chart. It's horrible, but I still love every minute I spend on her.Thursday, November 19, 2009

Love love love the new Christmas set! You're so talented! And Harriet is just gorgeous! But what a bummer about the chart being filled with mistakes. :( You're going to have to give me pointers when I get around to stitching her.
Tanya, you've outdone yourself with that Christmas set. Woo! It is incredible. YGG! Harriet is just stunning. Bummer about the mistakes but it says something about how much you love the sampler itself that you keep at it.
Your new Christmas set is beautiful Tanya. Harriet is gorgeous too! That's too bad about the chart... but you must really love your Harriet not to let it get in the way of your completing the sampler.
The Christmas set looks wonderful.
Isn't it demotivating to get aware of so many mistakes on a chart? You really must love Harriet to continue stitching her. She definitely looks terrific.
I love your new Christmas set. So festive. I am so dissapointed with Harriet now. I cannot stand charts full of mistakes. All the same, if I ever stitch Harriet, I would probably lose the house anyway and only keep the border and tree's. I do love that border.

Love the Christmas set and your Hannah is gorgeous. It does suck that there are so many mistakes in the chart :-(.
Gosh I love that new Christmas set, Tanya! It is so very pretty!!
And Harriet is amazingly beautiful, wonderful progress!! Sorry the chart is so full of mistakes, that is a bummer, but I know you will persevere!
Your new set is just beautiful!
And Harriet - oh my! What a big house - hopefully those satin stitches will go quickly. They are one of my favorites stitches to do. Sorry the chart is so frustrating! It definitely looks well worth the effort!
Enjoy your weekend.
I love your new Christmas set it is so pretty. Harriet is wonderful....a true labor of love..Linda
Tanya, your Christmas set is beautiful! I love it!! Harriet is also beautiful and will definitely be an heirloom when you are finished! :)
Tsnys: What a lovely Christmas Set. You are so talented to be able to do such a variety of crafts so exquisitely. Just wondering, where you find the time?
Re. Harriet Burry. Like you, the minute I saw her I had to stitch her and commpleted her in December of 2008, but I thought the mistakes in the pattern were caused by Harriet and I stitched it the way it was reproduced. Starting from the top down made it easier. Also, I thought I would never get the windows completed. Sampler lovers really have to love the craft to finish Harriet. Thanks for sharing. JoAnn
Love the little holly hornbook scissor fob in the set. Darling!
Harriet is gorgeous - sorry to hear you are having a rough time with the chart - you'd never know by looking at your wonderful progress. Mel
Hi Tanya,
Love your Christmas set. My goodness you are talented. Everytime I see Harriet she is looking simply gorgeous.
Sounds as if with all her mistakes she is truly a sampler lovers sampler. Not for the feint hearted. - Sandra.
Love that Christmas set - especially the Fa La La! And Harriet looks amazing! In the inside photo, you can really see the mottling in the fabric - beautiful! She will be gorgeous when finished, if you can put up with the horrible chart.
Love your Christmas set! But I'm partial to Fa La La La and all that stuff as Lucy would say on the Peanuts.
I am so glad to have found your blog! What beautiful stitching. I love the sampler
