A big house, a small house, and a giant vase

Here's another week's worth of Rebecca Robinson. The small house was a much faster stitch, than the giant one, of course. The more I accomplish, the more unusual this sampler becomes. So many of the motifs are out of proportion with each other. I think that's what gives it it's charm. The large vase will hold some pretty big carnation looking type flowers. For some reason, the color of the linen doesn't show up accurately. The vintage Buttercream from Lakeside is a yummy soft butter color. The deeper hues of the thread really look nice on it.
I also need to add that I incorrectly said that it was all done in over two cross stitch. The two little birds next to the boy are over one.

Tanya, it's all 'blooming' beautifully! No wonder you are enjoying it so much. You're right about the linen though - so I can imagine it's even more vibrant and beautiful IRL!

My favorite part is the squirrels. They look like the little guy with his nut in "Ice Age." It is unusual looking--what fun!

Can you imagine what a urn that size would cost at Hobby Lobby?! :)

Such beautiful progress you are making!! What a difference too, it makes from the picture and choosing another color linen, instead of white or cream. I love buttercream from L&L, the colors are exquisite. Are you using the recommended colors? I know how we love to give them an update once in a while!! I think this pattern is going to have to be ordered very soon!! Gorgeous!!

Tanya - I love this sampler more and more as you progress with it. I just know that I'm going to have to break and order this pattern. I love that the motifs aren't symetrical. It really gives the piece it's charm. Wonderful stitching and I can't wait to see more pics!

Ms. Robinson is looking just stunning!! As usual when I view your posts, I have some paper towel handy to wipe up the drool.

I am reminded of Wayne & Garth: We're not worthy! We're not worthy! :) Have a great weekend!!
