Coverlet Houses

Happy Thursday from a somewhat gloomy day in Arizona.  We like these rare days now and then.  My new release is called Coverlet Houses, and is available now.  Once again, my inspiration came from the antique woven coverlets that I wish I had a collection of.  I just love the look of them.  I stitched the pin keep first, and the idea to reverse the design followed.  The models are on 40ct. Bisque linen from Lakeside, with no over one stitching.  I tea-stained it for some aging.  Threads used were NPI silk in 128, 902, 976, and 993.  A conversion to DMC is provided.  Many thanks to The Twisted Stitcher, Vonna for the finishing of the pin keep.

I needed a  break from model stitching, and I have always loved this design from With Thy Needle and Thread.  I used 40ct Ale, and I confess to changing some of the colors.  It was fun to stitch something for my house for a change.

I so appreciate the well wishes and emails about my upcoming shoulder surgery.  It's fast approaching, and while I'm dreading it, I'm also anxious to get it over with.  I was really touched to hear from many who offered advice and encouragement...thank you.

LOVE it. Your birds have been perched, patiently waiting, so I may as well get the houses for them. That will give me enough time to decide which background I prefer, and then change my mind several times.

The coverlet piece is beautiful! I'm going to have to add the houses to my list, and the birds as well.
My sister had surgery two weeks ago for a full tear...she is doing well and has full range of use back. Best of luck,
Robyn

Another wonderful design Tanya. I don't know if I like the framed version or the pillow best. Guess I'd have to stitch both! :o)

I just LOVE the coverlet design. I have a few coverlets that I'd like to try stitching as a design, but I never seem to have enough time. LOL.

Love this new design Tanya! Coverlets are so pretty, and I wish I owned one. What a cleaver thing to think of to stitch.
Your With Thy Needle finish is wonderful as well. I bet you enjoy working on things for your own house...model stitching has to be a bit of a bore.
Here is wishing you a speedy recovery so that you can get back to stitching.

Tanya I just love the coverlet houses stitched with background color. It is so striking!! Really beautiful! I want to wish you well with your upcoming surgery. It is so scary! I have had 4 surgeries on my knees and from my experience, I think that anticipating the surgery is the worst thing so you will be glad when you get it over with! I know I was. I hope all goes really well for you! I need to get back to Hanna Tingey. I haven't forgotten her!

Please pray tell where one might
obtain the Proverbs 31:13 pattern
you used for your pin keep? I have
searched all the "With they needle
& thread" sites and cannot locate.
Just bedazzled by your work and
am planning on doing the coverlet
houses....
