Remember Mary Ann?

Here she is again, sporting a new frame. I had to wait for several weeks for the molding which was back ordered, but now that it's done, it was worth the wait. I'm not sure if the photo will do it justice, but the frame has a similar shade of blue that matches the fibers. I've been asked if I aged it before or after I stitched it, and the answer is both. My hubby thinks it looks like it was backed over by the car. That's the idea, dear. We call it primitive.

I'm on the home stretch with Ann Rayner. There are two rows of over one alphabet to do right after the Z. Gosh, I can hardly wait for that. At least it's in my favorite color red. I'm also working on Sarah Woodham, and I'm about 2/3's done. The wheels are starting to turn in my head about what to stitch next. I can't resist showing what's popping up in my raised garden bed. It's time for fresh asparagus!

Henry Blue insisted that I post his picture today. He just had a bath and is all silky and soft. He's usually a stinky little boy who likes to dig and get dirty. Here he is soaking up some sun.

I swear, your little Henry is just the cutest thing. Sophie and Gracie were soaking up the suns rays today as well. They don't sit still for pics too often, unfortunately!

Great frame for Mary Ann, the colours are so nice on this gorgeous linen.

How lucky you are to be able to grow fresh asparagus, love them roasted, but my deer would have a feast if I grew these.

Henry looks lovely but am sure he is dreaming of digging again. LOL.

What wonderful eye candy in your post today Tanya - Isn't that your Ann that Jean keeps showing in her newsletters? that along with your beautiful posts inspired me to order that right up LOL - I thought I needed something bright to work on for spring - we'll see. Mary Ann - OMG - how beautiful it is framed - just perfect! Lil Henry - how innocent he looks or maybe he is pouting over his bath LOL - Can't wait to see what's next for you - Mel

Mary Ann is beautiful!! The frame is absolutely perfect! I have to laugh at what your husband said. When I took something in to be framed a while back the man insisted that something was all over the fabric and they couldn't be responsible for how it looked. He didn't believe me when I told him it was suppose to be that way.

And Ann is looking wonderful. I can't believe how close you are to finishing. I haven't even put a stitch into mine - but soon.

And Henry is so cute!!

I love your Mary Ann! That's so cool how the frame has the blue in it! And your Ann -- Beautiful! Oh you're so close to being done! So exciting! Henry Blue is adorable. Is he settling in well? I hope his sisters are getting used to him! (You're so lucky to have asparagus coming up -- we're still working on getting rid of the snow on the ground. lol!)

What's a little over one stitching for a big girl like you? Where are those big girl panties you told me about? lol!

I'm besotted with Ann and all that red is luscious!

You know, I have an asparagus patch but haven't gotten anything out yet. I hear it takes a few years? I mean, I get those fronds and such. Maybe should check them.

ps Mary Ann is lovely

Mary Ann is beautiful all dressed in her frame. Ann is divine and is going to ba a lovely companion on the wall for Mary Ann. And I bet that Asparagus was tender and perfectly buttered ;)

The frame works beautifully with Mary Ann. I picked up on the blue immediately. ; )Well worth the wait. Wow, you are nearly done with Ann Rayner. A very interesting sampler. We had -6 C this morning and everything is frozen. Hard to imagine you have fresh asparagus this time of the year. Think of all us poor souls freezing when you bite into it. : ))

Very beautiful, that particular frame with the matching colours.
Great progress picture of Ann.
I can't think of asparagus yet. It will be late this year, with all the snow still around.
