1804 York ornament

One more for the sampler tree. I finished this last night. It is stitched over one on 40ct. The stitched part measures 1.25 x 1.50 inches. I just noticed that my cording is slightly off center. Oh well...I've been a digging through my stash for some more charts that can be stitched tiny enough. I think I'll try to do a few more by next Christmas. Right now, there's too many other things calling my name.

Your ornament is fantastic. I really love it. And your finishing is perfect for it. Now I have to go looking for that pattern. You know, you have it in your stash forever, and then someone does it and you have to have it!

Hello Tanya! I just found your blog today and just love it. I too love samplers and the tiny ornament is wonderful. How did you find the sweet feather tree? I am hunting one that will not be too expensive as I need to ship it to Holland also. I did a series of prim ornaments this year which I keep up on a small tree year round in my quilt studio. I put them as freebies on my blog all year too.

I am off to read more of your entries now. What a fun place to discover on a cold Sunday evening sitting by the woodstove. :-)

Hugs ~

Love love love this one!! I just read thru and did some "catch up" on your posts. Everything is wonderful. Your finishing on the ornaments looks just fab to me!! The simplicity of them gives them that extra primitive touch, which I love!
