Gone fishing...

Hello from steamy, hot Arizona. Sitting next to some cool refreshing water while holding a fishing pole sounds really good right now. Since I don't ever go fishing, my progress on Country Life will have to do. Even though I'm thoroughly loving this sampler, it isn't going to be a quick stitch. The row after row of grass seems to take forever. The border is oh so pretty, but also very time consuming.

I took some time out from stitching to make some journals for a couple of friends. The adorable girl on this one is Ami. Check out her muddy paws. I was really inspired when I saw the picture, so that is what her tag says. Her parents are lucky that she lives several states over, because I'd be tempted to steal her. Love that face!

The back of the journal. Doesn't this photo make you smile?

If you've been lucky enough to find Laurie's blog, you'll recognize these two. They are of course, the very photogenic Emma and Owen. Naturally, that is the princess herself wearing the crown.

I love this photo of them on one of their daily walks through the prairie, and thought it would be perfect for the back of the book.

I love to use pictures of dogs in my art. You would think that I would have plenty with my own three. But, as you can tell from this photo, my dogs are a bunch of lazy bums. Trying to get them to pose would definitely cut into their busy schedule.

If you would like a personalized journal featuring your adored pet, drop me an email for more details.

My non-blogging friend has been reducing her stash, and she has some great things for sale. If you're interested, send me an email, and I'll forward it on to her.

I just love your Country Life! I can see how the grass would get tiresome, but it's really looking good. Love your journals too and would love some info on them. We're going to have a new member of the family arriving next month and I think that would be something great to have. Love the pictures you put on yours and Laurie's - I would have recognized those puppies anywhere.

And would love info on the stash for sale. Definitely don't need anything, but, well, you know......... :o)

Your Country Life is gorgeous!! Gosh darn it! lol! Love the journals you made for S and L. Fantastic! I also love the pic of the ladies and gentleman being all comfy. Such a life! As for stitching, well, hmmmmm. I'm working on it. Sort of. Keep getting distracted by clams. :D

Country Life looks great! As do your journals.

I am in the Napa Valley California and it is hot today. Not as hot as Arizona, where I am thinking of moving to soon. Just have to figure out where in Arizona that will be. I'd say enjoy the hot weather, but sometimes it can get too hot!

Tanya, Country Life is amazing!! And you're almost halfway there, too. LOVE that cow.

The journals are so precious. Miss Ami thanks you for such a sweet gift, and sends a special "hello" from the MudPie Kitchen.

Your own little bums are adorable. Looks like they just wilted from the heat. If you never use that photo of two little Boston bulls peaking under the fence in some of your art one day, it'll be a crime.

Hi Tanya, - Country Life is looking really lovely. I also love the cow and the fishing gentleman.

Talking of cows, did you see in the latest S&ANW mag that they are going to do the cow sampler that was photographed on Page 5 of Issue 59. I like that one although I can't see any sheep, but it will do.

Love your journals, they are really lovely and the photos that you chose are just perfect. Lovely photos of Emma and Owen. Love the photo on the back. Ami is also very cute.

I also have a lazy bum who loves to sleep beside the fire at the moment. Her name is Sally and she is a Border Collie. She loves laying around sleeping. She should be out chasing the sheep. That is if I had any lol. - Sandra.

Tanya, Country Life is coming along really well, even if it's large (I have the graph, so I know exactly how large it is!) The fishing looks refreshing in this heat (upper 90s here and muggy. Ick). I'm going to email you about a journal for my sister of her dog. Gracie (the dog) is dying and my sister won't have her much longer. Fortunately, I have lots of photos. I had been thinking about a scrapbook, and now that I've seen your journal, I think that will be better. Your bums are a hoot.

Your CL looks fabulous Tanya. We've started stitching at different sides, so it's fun to see what I have to look forward to stitching.
Emma and Owen are pleased as can be that you've featured their journal art on your blog. Emma can never get enough blog coverage... it's the Princess thing ya know.
I agree with Sandy... the Bostons peeking under the fence would make for some fabulous journal art.

Don't you want to send us a little of your warm weather : we have in Brittany wind and rain now and the temperatures are falled down very quickly :-(
Your little Bums are just lovely :-))

Love the gone fishing Tanya, beautiful.
Your journals are adorable, and can imagine you like to "steal" him.

Have been to Arizona, a lady told me she used up more electricity in summer than winter, all those fan's, had never seen anything like it.

Your journal art is fabulous - what cute, cute pups.

And your Country Life is just gorgeous - I have a bunch of new SL but no time to stitch (sigh).

Rhubarb, Scarlett, and Blue look quite relaxed.

Enjoy your week.
