New Sets

No stitching today. My hand has been holding a paintbrush instead of a needle. These new sets are going up on my Etsy tonight. If the last set looks familiar...well yes, I did get my inspiration from my stitched Bird Sampler. I have birds on the brain! Thanks once again for all of the wonderful comments. It's a real treat to hear from each and every one of you. I had no idea that anyone was curious about the ladies in my banner photo. Well, now you know. My Grandmother's name was Fredericka Anna Amelia Christina Grater Schick. That's a mouthful, isn't it? Maybe I should try working that into a sampler one day.
And Julie, I don't know if I should be mad or glad that you inspired me to get into the Twilight madness or not. All I know is this, I am hooked! Those books are seriously interfering with my stitching.

Beautiful new sets! I can vouch for Twilight being addictive. My dd has read three of them in the past 7 days.

Love the new sets! I think my faves of yours are the houses (w/ the adorable wee sheepies no less). Thanks for your comment! I've heard lots of other folks say Friday Night Lights is a good show. Twilight! Girrrl!!! They are SO good! I read one an evening for four evenings last summer - a seriously sleep deprived week b/c I literally could not bear to put them down. :)

Gorgeous new sets Tanya. I hope Ruby is better after her op - give her lots of scrambled eggs, she will love you for ever.

Oh I love these new sets! Especially the second one with all the birds!

Guess what my GGgrandmother's maiden name was. Wilhemenia Schick!!! She was from Germany and I couldn't find much info on her or her parents when doing my history.

Those are so pretty, Tanya...love them all, hard to pick a favorite. Wow, that is some long name to be blessed with, amazing. I too enjoyed reading about the banner portraits, I love details.

I am restraining myself on the Twilight reading, have read the first and just picked up the second one yesterday. Feel like they aren't going anywhere, and a little nail-biting is good, wondering what is going to happen next. So, just do a little reading of them before I go to bed, when I wouldn't be stitching anyway. May take me a year to get through them, but that is okay.

Oooooh, your sets are so pretty Tanya!!! I immediately indentified the bird sampler and the Freedom set is very original. I will have a hard time choosing between the three as they are all lovely. I have watched Twilight so often while stitching but I am itching to read the books. I am more curious than ever. ; )

Another beautiful collection of sets. You are so talented. I wish I could paint.
I bought all the Twilight books for my 14 yo son. Everytime I looked at him his nose was in one of them. It became quite expensive as he read them in a week.
Thats a name and a half that your Grandmother had. Would love to see that one on a sampler - Sandra.

Oh wow, Tanya, fabulous new sets! You are a woman of many talents. I'm so glad you've become addicted to the Twilight books--they are wonderful!

Ah, you should be both. LOL It's addicting, I know. It broke into my stitching time too. In fact, I didn't stitch for 2 days because I was reading New Moon and Eclipse. LOL

Those new sets are fabulous!

I love the new sets!

And I definitely think you should incorporate your grandmother's initials into a sampler, but all those names? Definitely a larger piece of fabric!

I loved loved the Twilight Series and became seriously hooked to the point of doing nothing else but read. The movie was superior as well and I have watched the DVD several times can't wait until New Moon comes out in October. Your stitching is just beautiful and has inspired me to take up samplers. Thank you for sharing just wonderful.
