Miss Margaret and a little soreness

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend. I wasn't able to spend as much time with my needle as I would have liked. I have to blame part of that on having my nose stuck in Breaking Dawn, the last book in the Twilight series. Too good to put down.
I'm getting that antsy feeling about Margaret. I just want to finish her and move on to something new. I need to enjoy the process more and not worry so much about getting to everything that I want to stitch in this lifetime. I have to work on that.
We spent Saturday at one of the lakes north east of Phoenix. Here's a little trivia for you. There are more boats here in AZ., than anywhere else, and they were all in water somewhere. It was a beautiful day, not too hot, just nice. I squeezed in a bit of stitching on Sunday, in between running errands. Yesterday, my husband and I headed out early for a bike ride. Here is my bike or what I call the "Limecycle". That weird looking thing on the handle bars is for my basket. We ended up riding around twenty miles altogether. The city that we live in has some nice parks and wonderful bike trails. Along the path I saw Mallard ducks with their little ones, a bunny, several fish in the canals, an Owl, numerous cows and dogs, and even a fairly good size lizard. Quite the variety. I expected to be very sore today, but surprisingly I'm not that bad. It was worth it anyway. I'm way behind in my blog reading, so I'm off to see what you have all been up to.

Tanya, you put me to shame -- 20 miles on a bike! I think if I rode 1 mile I'd be sore! lol! I love how Margaret is looking. I'm determined my next project will be a Brenda Keyes piece.

Miss Margaret is looking wonderful but I know how you feel about getting on to something else - I'm at that point with the City Stitcher A&E. And I'm totally surprised by the boat statistic - living in Great Lakes I thought that we had that distinction, but maybe not - you can have a boat out a lot longer in AZ. And good grief, 20 miles on a bike. I'm with Margaret - l mile and I'm done for.

I was delighted to discover that I have Brenda's book with Miss Margaret in it. I clean forgot I had it. It really is a lovely pattern and you have made good progress. Now that bike could have been mine as I love everything in green. Sounds like you had a super weekend. You go girl!!

I have just come across your blog again. I love visiting. Your Miss Margaret is looking wonderful. Why is it we get that ansty feeling with time consuming projects. I so want the finished product I just can barely wait while I'm stitching. Hmmm? I truly need to get a grip on that too. Beautiful work. :)

Miss Margaret is coming along beautifully. She is such a beautiful sampler.
Know that feeling really well. I get to a certain stage with a sampler and then I want to get onto something else. - Sandra.

20 miles! I would still be looking for the the lung that fell out along the way! Miss Margaret is beautiful, I can't wait to see it finished.

Oh, I love your comfy-looking bike! I've seen that style (girl frame, nice normal handlebars) at the bike store and have wanted one, because my bike, going on 20 years now, is a hard, stiff touring bike--completely uncomfortable. But because it's in such good shape, I can't justify another.

I know what you mean about enjoying the process and not worrying about stitching everyhing we want. But I hear the little voice going "hurry, hurry" in my ear as I stitch. Margaret is lovely though, and I particularly like the house!

No way I could ride a bike around my block much less 20 miles! Margaret just looks wonderful! You are coming along much faster on her than I would be! I am so slow these days!

I told you the Twilight series was addictive. I'm impressed you're already at Breaking Dawn. When did you finish New Moon?

Your sampler looks simply lovely. What's next on your stitching agenda?
