A frame finish, a stall, and a start...

Like I said in my last post, I am all over the place with my stitching lately. I made a bit more progress on the Bird Sampler, then I got sidetracked again by the Sarah Hartley 1827 Sampler. I'm not one to move from project to project without finishing them usually. I'm going to blame it on the Internet. I mean, gee whiz, all of these are so right in your face 24/7. How can you not be tempted? So, here's some more of the stalled sampler.

The chart photo is next, and it is terrible, by the way. It doesn't do this sampler justice at all.

I'm stitching mine on 45ct. vintage Sand Dune by Lakeside with NPI. The 45ct. is quickly becoming my favorite. I wonder if I'll still feel that way when I get to all of the over one stitching. There's a lot of it on this piece and my plan of attack is to do the tent stitch instead of full cross.

And lastly, here is Adam & Eve framed.

Over one on 45ct?! Argh! Why didn't you warn me! lol! Well good luck with it. I have a feeling I'll be saving my 45ct piece for something with no over one. :D I love all your WIPs, btw. Sarah Hartley -- the colors are wonderful!! And the Birds piece is just so cute! I hear you on being distracted by the internet too. It's so hard!

I have been enjoying your blog for a bit now, and had to share with you. You do some amazing work and inspire so many of us! I love the Adam & Eve Sampler and found the pattern. The Historic Stitches I have looked at and looked at, and you are right, the picture is terrible, but, your start is terrific! I will have to add this one to the stash list :), and might even give 45ct a try!! Your Plantation Sampler is Gorgeous, love your conversion. Last but not least, your Bird Sampler is Fabulous!! I look forward to more of your work.

Oh I love Adam and Eve framed. The frame you chose is just perfect. I was thinking exactly along those lines when I saw your project completed. Your bird sampler is a delight but Sarah Hartley is just beautiful!!! After seeing your stitching I can see why the cover picture does no justice. I love the border once again and the chart is right up my alley. Alas I think life will be too short to stitch everything I fall in love with. If you ever run out of wall space you are welcome to come and hang some sampler's in my home. I promise that the house will live up to your expectations. ; )

Your A&E looks fabulous in the frame. Have you lost your mind??? You'll be stitching over one on 45 ct linen??? YGG

I can't wait to see the Sarah sampler finished. The cover photo is awful and I truly want to see this beauty in all of its stitched glory.

Everything is gorgeous! I love the BOAF piece and the frame is perfect for the A&E piece. I don't know why you feel the need to all of a sudden move from project to project ;-).

I really identify with your comment about the effect of the Internet on stitching projects. I, too, used to be a one-at-a-time stitcher. And now? I've lost count of how many projects are in progress at the moment, all thanks to the wonderful inspiration I find in abundant supply on stitching blogs.

Adam and Eve look wonderful framed! Because of you, I have pulled and kitted up my Bird Sampler chart! It is looking fantastic! I agree about wanting to stitch everything at once because of seeing it all the time on other blogs!

Your stall is beautiful as is your new start! Everything you do is beautiful though! I was thinking of you the other day when I saw 48 ct. Meadow Rue on eBay the other day!! I almost bid on it and then thought I should try 45 before I just right to 48. :) Baby steps ya know.

Dang. You pick the NICEST projects. I probably wouldn't have considered the Sarah Hartley sampler based on the chart picture, but having seen your WIP, now I'm jonesing for it. I love your bird sampler, too. The framed A&E--in-freaking-credible. YGG!

FIRST of all, Tanya, A&E is so wonderful, I have been dreaming of that chart, ever since I saw you working on it and then completing it. I will find it one of these days, I will. I am not a huge fan of A&E designs, but there is something about this one, that really has my attention, and it isn't that snake, that neither of us care for, either!

Your two starts have my interest, especially BOAF Bird Sampler, have had that in my stash, but now I need to stitch it, after seeing yours. You are such an enabler to me, much like Siobhan has been for years.

Don't think I will follow in your footsteps with the over 1 on 45 count though, but never say never!!

Framing is gorgeous and Sarah Hartley is going to be awesome!

I am looking forward to seeing more of your progress on Sarah. I never would have considered buying the design with the cover picture.
I am also enjoying your progress on BOAF Birds also.

I'm wondering for quite a while already, where you are digging all these wonderful sampler charts. One is more beautiful than the other.
Love how your bird sampler is coming along and what a great start on your new one. But over one on 45ct? I'm excited to see how that is going

I was just looking at the bird sampler at my LNS yesterday, thinking about stashing up on BOAF cuz I heard a rumor they are no longer designing. I hope its not true!
Perfect frame for your A&E! Wow it looks wonderful!

Gorgeous frame for your A&E! I love what you're stitching on too...such beautiful pieces! It is hard to resist the 24/7 temptation isn't it!
