So, with that out of the way, here's a look around at how I decorate our house for the holiday.
The kitchen counter tree, filled with small cooking utensils, and sitting in a coffee cup.
More Santa's on the pie safe. These fellows are all salt-glazed. They are made by Eldreth Pottery in Lancaster, PA., and a new one is issued each year. I just noticed that the one on the right is a roly-poly chubby Santa, so I stand corrected.

Oh my! You just have such a lovely home! Your taste in pottery and samplers just make me drool! The Red House Sampler looks stunning in that frame! I just can't see enough of your home and your stitching talent!
Your new sampler looks gorgeous framed, and you are right, the medallions do match, you couldn't have picked a better frame. Love your Christmas decorations too, we still have to get our tree down from the loft, late as always.
The frame is so pretty! I love the warm honey color... it really matches the stitcher perfectly.
And.... may I come over and spend Christmas at your house? I LOVE anything colonial!!
Beautiful sampler and frame is perfect choice. Love your home...I have been looking for those little wreaths too...give a hint where they can be purchased. One more question, would you want to sell your pattern to Red House? Merry Christmas! What a warm Christmas feeling you have created. pj
Just found your blog. I filled my trencher in a ver similiar way this Christmas - I love colonial style decorating too.
Your samplers are wonderful. VERY colonial. I have made many in my time - and gave too many away!!
Come on over and visit sometime!
hugs, Linda
