Long forgotten

Years ago, I drove past this old grey stone schoolhouse near Elmira, Idaho. I had to pull over and take a picture. It was for sale, along with a small house next door that was more than likely for the teacher. I instantly fell in love with it. Wouldn't it have made an awesome antique or needlework shop? It looked so sad sitting there abandoned. I hope someone bought it, spruced it up a bit, and is now using it for something . I'd sure hate to think that it was demolished to make way for something modern. I don't know what draws me to these old buildings. It must be the remembrance of a simpler time.

Simpler times . . . yes, I think that is it. Until she was 12, my mother attended a one-room schoolhouse in Illinois. I loved the stories she would tell.

What a wonderful old schoolhouse. Yes, if only the walls could talk

I think we all might have had a previous life, and that is why we still love and do today what we did in the past. I am also attracted to everything old and love history. If I did not have a previous life, then I was definately born in the wrong era.
