Lastly, poor Harriet Burry has been languishing away in my wip basket. It's been so long since she's seen a needle that I'm sure she has a complex by now.
I'm not the type of stitcher that can handle a bunch of unfinished projects, so I need to wrap these up. I can't be too hard on myself because I did finish eight beautiful samplers, two of which I had to chart first.
Here's what I hope to work on this year:
Goode Huswife's Peaceable Kingdom
Carriage House Sampling's My Home Town and Pear Orchard Farm
Scarlet Letter's Sophia's Sampler, Sally Hunt 1795, and Jenny Bean (A Massachusetts Sampler)
Cantebury's Jane Woodward Sampler
The City Stitcher's Strawberry Sampler, Two Fine Ewes, and Prize Shorthorn
Homespun Sampler's Ann Sims Sampler
Polly Bartlett Sessions by Hope's Dwelling Place
Heaven Doth Ask by The Sampler Co.
The Heart That Gives by Ewe & Eye & Friends
Hannah Pepper
Some of these have been in my stash for a long, long time and I'm looking forward to them. Of course, I may change my mind a million times, and I know I'll have to squeeze Ann Grant in there somewhere. Wish me luck.

Happy New Year, Tanya! I hope it is a great one for you.
Every single sampler on your 2011 list is beautiful - I'd love to stitch them all! Glad to see Harriet's on the list - I adore the gate in the wall. You won't need me to wish you luck on finishing these projects - I know you will fly through them! Have fun!
All of your samplers are magnificent. I love them all.
Nice list! I can't make lists. I just can't. I always have to act on what attracts me right when it's time to choose a new project. I'm so bad. I do have a list-- it's just ridiculously long. lol! Your Country Life is so close to being done!!!! Harriet is gorgeous, and the Alphabets -- ah yes, I need to get back to that too.
Your WIPs look fabulous Tanya and you've come up with a great selection of pieces to work on in 2011.
Looks like an awesome list! Can't wait to watch your progress over the year.
Isn't it hard coming up with just 15 projects while still having WIPs? Your list is great - some really nice samplers. I always have the best intentions but then deviate from my list. I think that I'm still thinking about doing four that I had hoped to get to last year, and my New Year's start from last year was just that - a start and it ran out of gas the next day!! LOL
I'll love watching your progress on each and every one that you work on. You always have such an eye for beautiful samplers.
Happy New Year, Tanya! What a great group of samplers that you've chosen for 2011. I love all of them and have each of them in my stash just waiting to see the light of day....someday.
Your list is amazing as are your WIP. Good luck with stitching and finishing in 2011.
I love samplers !!! Can't wait to see them being worked on !! Happy Stitching!
What a great list--I was thinking of Ann Grant plus who knows what else will come along in the next show.
Happy new year Tanya. You seem to have great stickability for finishing large pieces, so I'm sure you'll finish these up this year.
Wow! What a great list, of wips and new starts! I look forward to watching your progress this year!
If anyone can tackle the list, it will be you. You picked out some great choices and I can't wait to see all of them, most of them or some of them! Happy stitching!
Fabulous "Big-Girl" samplers! ;-) Can't wait to see more!
Love your to-do list! Can't wait to see your progress on one and all. Should be amazing!!
What a nice list of projects. Country Life is looking good. My Harriet is "resting" for now because Ellen O'Brien 1838 has all of my attention. My New Year's resolution was to stitch from my stash but the minute I saw Maria Tilley - that resolution went right out the window!!! Blessings from Kentucky - kelley
Beautiful wips Tanya and I love your list! You have a lot of great samplers on there (many are on my list too)! :)
Happy New Year!!!!!!
Love, love, love your plans for the new year. Poor Harriet, glad she's going to see the light of day again ;-).
You have lovely WIPs to finish and many of the ones on your list, I have in my stash and have recently pulled out to gaze upon their lovliness.....
Happy New Year and your "to do" list looks wonderful and look forward to seeing those.
I do like the PS alphabet and know the feeling when projects lie there for a long time LOL.
Happy New Year! Your samplers are SOOOO gorgeous!! :D t
Beautiful stitching and what wonderful wips. Gorgeous choices for 2011...I see many happy hours of stitching ahead...hugs, Lidna+
Happy New Year. Your WIPs look great as for your list I wish you luck in completing it.
I just love Harriet - glad she is coming out to play again. Your list is quite impressive - some of them I am not familiar with but I'm sure they are exquisite as you have wonderful taste. Congratulations on Maria Tilley - she has hit with a big splash - many happy stitches in the new year ! Melody
Lots of good choices! And I forgot about Harriet!! She definitely needs to be finished. I'm going to really try to cut down on the amount of WIPs I have this year, because it's making me crazy!
I love, love, love this sampler. Your stitching is gorgeous!
Happy 2011 to you!! Looks like a fine, fine list to me...I have not been enticed quite yet to the "15 Challenge"
Happy New Year to too.
That's a very impressive list and it has wonderful designs. I'm looking forward to seeing your start and progress on them.
I love your blog! I love to stitch samplers and collect antiques as well. My favorite samplers to stitch are simple school girl samplers. As you do, I love houses, birds and dogs in my samplers also. I'll look forward to visiting again.
Happy New Year Tanya! Great list of projects planned for 2011. Several are on my list too.
I love your choices, Tanya! I'll be eagerly watching your progress on them. Your WIPs are gorgeous, too. Happy new year!
That looks like a great list. I wish I did not leave dozens of wips languishing! ;) I love Country Life too! I cannot wait to see your progress this year!
It is almost the end of the year and there are many thing that I couldn't accomplish and the problem wasn't that those things were quite hard the problem is my lack of discipline.
I am totally new to blogs, and unsure about how to use them. But I would very much like to speak with you about the Goode Huswife "Peaceable Kingdom." I have owned this pattern for many years but have misplaced it and cannot find it. I even have a photo of myself stitching a corner of the pattern, but the pattern itself has disappeared, and now I really would like to get back to this piece. Have you any idea of where I may find this o.o.p pattern? I am feeling obsessed by this!
