I started this one last night. I have never done an Adam & Eve design before, but this one is so my type. I was thinking about why I haven't stitched one, and I think it must be the snake. I hate snakes. I'm not even sure if I can stitch one. Maybe I'll save it for last. There are wonderful places to hike here in AZ, but I don't. You guessed it, I'm afraid of coming across a rattler. Everyone says they are more afraid of us. Somehow, I doubt that.
Thanks so much for all of the comments of happy birthday wishes. They helped make my day a special one.

Lovely finish Tanya. The border is really pretty and frames the design beautifully. I look forward seeing your choice of frame. I would not worry about stitching the snake. Its symbolic after all. : )

Tanya, your Plantation Sampler is magnificent, I don't have enough words to describe how much I love it! Saddest part is, I have this chart in my stash, and have had it for a very long time. You'd better believe it gets moved to the top of my to do list.
Good luck with your Adam and Eve!
Wow, you have been a busy stitcher. Your sampler is stunning!
I love the photos of your dogs in your last post with their Irish gear on. LOL. (My DH is a Prod from Northern Ireland - so no celebrating St Paddy's day in this household. LOL)

Can'T wait to see the first stitches of Adam & Eve.
What a beautiful job you've done with Plantation Sampler. The colour changes you have made are wonderful. I would love to know what colours you used if you're up to it. If not, that's ok, I can still admire it from here!
I can understand about snakes. My mom has a huge fear of them, even if you were playing around with a piece of string. Have fun stitching A & E.
Woo.... it's fabulous Tanya. Congratulations on a wonderful sampler finish.

Great finish Tanya, you can see the mottling on the linen if you click on the picture to enlarge it. Love your new start too.

Tanya - I don't know how I missed this, but your Plantation Sampler is gorgeous. I like the color changes you made too. Good luck with you A&E start. I've got that pulled up to start, but not until I do my Shores block for the month!
Beautiful!!!!! I just love this piece. Have fun starting a new piece too. I'm stitching my first A&E as well.
Wow, that is beautiful! I really like the border on it. Great job on finishing it. The Adam & Eve sampler is pretty too. I’ve never done a sampler with Adam and Eve on it either, maybe I should? :)
Guess what, Tanya! I gave you an award! Go check out my blog. http://daysofasamplerlover.blogspot.com/
I love the finished piece. It is wonderful on the Maritime white.
Plantation Sampler is divine! Love your color choices, and especially, I love that the border isn't too much--nice flowers and twining vines but not that repetitive thing we so often go through with borders! As for the snake--have fun with him. Do a bullion knot (in gold?) for his tail and let him be kind of a talisman against ever coming across a rattler.
It's gorgeous, congratulations
Hi Tanya, well what can I say. Your Plantation Sampler is absolutely beautiful. I bet you are so thrilled with it.
I love your Adam and Eve. I have never done one either, but a couple of weeks ago I bought a Scarlett Letter one called Matilda Ann Charles 1819 which looks interesting. Thought I might get a few of them to add to my list of "to do's".
I don't like snakes either. Where I live I am surrounded by a National Park and we often have snakes in our back garden. These ones are all poisionous and are quite scary. I nearly walked on one a couple of years ago. That nearly scared the life out of me. One of the neighbours found one behind his TV a few years ago. He had sliding doors that he used to keep open for his dogs. Now that is really scary lol. - Sandra.
Beautiful work, as always. You never cease to impress me!
Love your color choices for Plantation, Tanya. Just a wonderful way to revive an old classic. I'm also a collector of Adam & Eve samplers. I'm about a third the way through And They Sinned...whew, it's a doozy!! :p Your stitching choices are fabulous!!
