All about Eve

My new start is really quite fun. I'm stitching The City Stitcher's Adam & Eve on 40ct. Days Gone By linen. It's been a very long time since I've done outlining, quarter stitches, and french knots. Her nipples are french knots, and I was worried that one would be lower than the other, lol, but they look okay. I think the blue eye and pink blush make her look a bit like Mimi from The Drew Carey Show. She is also a tad taller than she's supposed to be. I miscounted and added another stitch in her leg. I was too far to start ripping out all of those quarter stitches, so I'm leaving her as is. I had to sneak a peek at Adam to make sure he wouldn't be shorter than her. I wouldn't want my Adam & Eve to look like Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes! I made myself stitch that darn snake, but I haven't given him an eye yet. I can see him but he can't see me.
Thank you for all the wonderful comments about The Plantation Sampler. I hope to get the frame picked up today, and I'll post a picture soon.

Wow Tanya, you're making fabulous progress! I love it--the fabric is a perfect choice for it. And hey, YGG on stitching the snake! ;)

Wow Tanya (I sound like Siobhan! LOL), loving your progress. I really like your fabric for this. I was going to try some dye and bake tomorrow just to save some cash! This was going to be my next up to bat!! Love yours!!

I love it Tanya! I could not help a giggle about Tom and Katie. Now we don't want that!! Be sure to give him a stitch so he does not feel inferior and get some weird religion or something. I like the colour of your linen. I don't usually go for Adam and Eve designs but this one is growing on me. Very pretty indeed.

usually I don't care for the look but it looks awesome on your piece.
I look forward to more progress!

Wow, Tanya! It's just so beautiful! But quarter stitches?! Bleagh! And I hate outlining! I was wondering how Adam and Eve would look without it..... I love that fabric! I actually have a piece of Days Gone By too. Hmmmmmmmm.....

Good grief woman, yoy have a turbo needle. It looks great and I love your choice of linen. One of my favorites.

Bleckkk.... though to the quarter stitches, but I'm sure I can muster through them... looking forward to your progress snaps.

Your needle is on fire! I'm amazed at how fast you stitch and still your work is beautiful. I'm glad you got those french knots right! And maybe that snake doesn't need an eye after all!
