A whiteout, memories, and a little stitching

In a little less than four hours, the Phoenix Coyotes will host the hated Detroit Red Wings in the first whiteout game of the 2010 playoffs. Anyone who knows me well will agree that along with stitching samplers, I am passionate about hockey, and especially the Coyotes. I had season tickets with my sister for the first five seasons. I gave them up when the team moved to it's new stadium which is fifty miles one way from my house. The photo above shows me on the right with my beloved boxers, Lucy and Otis. They were special dogs, and I miss them dearly. I was on the season ticket with them for one game. The contest was held to show why you are a real fan. The picture was actually meant for our Christmas card, and I wasn't supposed to be in it, just the dogs. I was trying to get them situated, and my husband snapped it. It was pure coincidence that I had on a Coyote sweatshirt. I sent the picture in at the last minute, and they chose it. We also took the dogs to the opening game and got to walk out on the ice with the other winners. It was quite a night to remember. It's been eight years since Phoenix made the playoffs, so you can understand why I'm excited. I won't be going to the game, but I'll be cheering from my Lazy Boy. Go Coyotes!
Here's a little bit more of Ann Wragg. I'm headed up to the long verse. Don't you just love the long tailed sheep?
Thanks to several of you for keeping me busy painting this week. You should be receiving your sets any day. There were a couple of comments left asking about special orders. I am always happy to take them if a design you like is gone, just drop me an email.

The hated Red Wings, uh? That's not nice Tanya! LOL If the game wasn't airing so late tonight I'd watch it, but I'll just have to find out the results in the morning!! Want to place any bets as to who wins? GO WINGS!!!!!!

That's cool that your picture was selected. And Ann Wragg looks great! I do love the long-tailed sheep.

Oh darn you! You're doing it again as usual, making me want to stitch what you're stitching. Ann Wragg is gorgeous! lol! I love the ticket and the story about you and your beloved Otis and Lucy. What a wonderful memory to keep forever. Go Phoenix! I can say that since I'm not rooting for anyone myself. :D

Ann Wragg is looking great! I'm still wondering about your color changes on your other Ann. You have so many wonderful samplers. I'm excited to get some charts from "The Sampler Company." I do have one of her charts, "The Providence Sampler", I think. It has inspired me to get it out and kit it up.
So Fun.
Good luck to your hockey team!

Hi Tanya, Sheep, did you say sheep lol. I'll have to invesitgate further.
Anyway, Ann is looking wonderful and I'm looking forward to seeing some more of her.
Ice Hockey isn't really a game that is big over here. We play more the grass kind. I used to play it at school until I hit in the eye with the hockey stick. Ouch. I ended up with a black eye. Now that is a useless piece of information for you lol. - Sandra.

Your AW looks just gorgeous, Tanya!! I like the color change you made on the text ... you can actually read it. I should do that, too.

It's no wonder you miss Lucy and Otis so badly. They look like such sweet dogs. Great pictures! (Your sister looks very familiar to me.)

What's to hate about the Red Wings? Hehe... I have to admit I haven't paid any attention to the hockey season so I don't know if you're celebrating, or mourning now.

Love your boxers!!! If we ever get a dog, a Boxer is on the short list of breeds I'm considering. They are such great dogs!

Ann Wragg is looking mah-velous!

Ann is looking wonderful - it is one of my fave charleston samplers. I have the kit stashed but never got far on it. I don't know squat about hockey but I know people who are very passionate about it - guess you'd be one of them ! LOL - have fun ! Mel
